Wedding of the year-how could I not mention it?
I got an anonymous reminder that I hadn't mentioned the wedding of the year - point taken! Now that winter is upon us (it snowed here last night and it stuck around today!) those summer days of the wedding excitement are missed! William and Katherine were those ones in London, but there was another Catherine who married Prince Paul in Sidney B.C. They have been married almost four months now, and have moved into their lovely new home in Skyview Ranch. Aren't they every bit as spectacular as that other couple?

Savary in November
I was dreading our closing up trip to Savary this weekend - but Savary didn't let me down. It was a lovely weekend, cool but not rainy, windy but the ferries and water taxis were running, and not absolutely deserted either. We met some neighbours from Sidney at the dock!

Hello?
Hello? Is this thing on? Well,no one seems to read my fabulous blog, and I don't get it. My life is so exciting! Teaching today, Grade One, fun! I was up early for a run (second morning in a row) and went for a lovely walk in Cordova Ridge before choir. Now we're off to an all-candidates' meeting. I honestly would rather stay home but will go in the interest of civic duty and getting in on the first-hand gossip!

Brightness in November
Heather came over for her birthday dinner tonight. It was a typically rainy and cold November day but it was warm inside, with Heather and Ebon as our special guests. Heather, our birthday girl - have a wonderful year!

Back to the USSR
Andrew is going back to his roots later this month, to the USSR! Where his great-great-great grandparents on his mom's side originally came from. We're glad it's only for a week.
Fall back
It's almost time to set the clocks back one hour. It means an extra hour of sleep - I hope! Heather (Lorill) will be 27 tomorrow. We are thinking about her a lot and hoping that life on Saltspring again will be good to her. We will see her on Monday to celebrate her birthday a day late, because she always has a full social calendar!
Happy Birthday Heather Elizabeth Holly MacRae (aka Lorill Gabriel)!
We love you and hope you have had a wonderful day. See you tomorrow!

Two year olds
Little Jack is visiting with his mom this week. Two year olds are amazing little people. Jack is obsessed with dinosaurs at the moment. I think he is also liking all the Hallowe'en decorations and he should be in for a fun time on Monday, going out with his little cousins. Of course, he is going to be a dinosaur!
